The Wedding Day
The day was finally here, I dreamed and planned this day for what felt like forever. I had butterflies in my stomach and was so excited to start this new adventure with my hubby. Since my wedding wasn’t until 6:30 pm I was able to sleep in, wake up and make breakfast then visit with family. I had a sense of calmness that day, everything seemed so special and so easy. When it was finally time to head to the airport, I sat in the back of the car feeling so giddy! I was so excited to start getting ready. I decided to get ready separate from my bridesmaids just because I wanted my own space and wanted to be far from my fiancé. This was honestly one of the best decisions I made. I felt so relaxed, if there were any issues, I didn’t know about it. I had the best time getting ready with my family.
When my hair and makeup were done, it was finally time to get into my dress. I couldn’t wait, I would live in that dress if I could! My dress sparkled like no other, I felt like Cinderella. When I put it on I felt complete, I was so ready to get married. I had a reveal with my bridesmaids and then it was time for the wedding. I remember feeling nervous before walking out and had tears in my eyes because I couldn’t believe it was finally happening. I couldn’t wait to get down that aisle to him. The ceremony was just beautiful. It was complete with everything from a live string quartet to a dome stage made of flowers. With airplanes in the back, it was perfect. When I walked down that aisle, I couldn’t stop looking at Tyler, he was so handsome. I just wanted to kiss him right then. We had a short ceremony and went back inside the airport for pictures while everyone else went to the tent for cocktail hour to enjoy some live jazz music and finger food.
We then proceeded to take our pictures, family, bridal party, and our couple pictures. We took them on the runway, by the planes, and at our ceremony spot. After we were done taking pictures we proceeded inside the hangar where the band announced us in and then we had dinner. I went and grabbed my food then I snuck out of the venue to go to my separate getting ready hangar to fix my makeup, switched my hair, and took my ball gown skirt off. Everyone was shocked when I walked back into the reception with a different dress. We then did the toast and first dances, where we surprised everyone again with a choreographed first dance that Tyler and I had been working on for months. I must say, Tyler’s a good dancer and caught on quick. We then had the live band play songs all night, we danced the night away and it was so fun! The band was one of my favorite parts of the reception, they were so talented. I was also blown away by my reception décor it was outstanding, We did a gold and white theme with candles everywhere. It was so dreamy and beautiful. When the clock struck midnight it was time for the party to end so Tyler and I made our exit through sparklers to our airplane and flew away.
June 1st was a dream come true, my wedding was everything I dreamed of. It turned out just how I planned and everything went so smooth with no issues. Tyler and I had no worries on the day of our wedding. We just relaxed and had a great time with each other! It was so special and a day we will never forget. The day would have not gone as smoothly as it did without our wedding planner, our families, and all of my vendors. Thank you to everyone that was apart of our special day.
