Visiting the happiest place on earth? You’ve waited forever to finally head to Disney but you still don’t know what to wear or have the extra money to buy expensive attire? This is the blog for you!
When you plan a trip to Disney you usually plan it for quite some time due to the cost and planning it takes. I’m a Disney addict and since I live in Florida I visit quiet often. What I have learned from my own mistake is buying expensive attire for each day gets pricy and not worth it. Especially for something you will more than likely wear only once. Of course you still want to look super cute for the occasion so I’ve come up with a cheaper alternative.
Have you heard of a cricut before? I’m sure you have. It’s this machine that cuts vinyl out for you. It’s so precise and very easy to learn. You can buy these almost anywhere now days. I wouldn’t go out and purchase this just for your Disney trip unless you think you would be using it more often than just this one time. I would ask around and see if any of your family members or friends have one that you could borrow. More than likely you will find somebody because they are quite popular right now. After you have found one, head to your local Walmart and buy some cheap plain T-Shirts or you can find some old jeans or jean jackets and get creative. Then you can order some vinyl off of amazon cheaper than you can usually in stores. After you have all your materials you need you can start making all your Disney attire. You can have one for everyday and spend just as much as you would normally for just one. One trick I have learned from using the cricut is that you don’t actually have to buy the extra items on the cricut store to create what you need. All you have to do is google the exact design, find it and copy and paste it into the cricut.
If you couldn’t find somebody that has a cricut or you don’t want to purchase one, I have a couple other cheaper alternatives for you. Head on over to Target and go into the mens section. They have movie T-shirts and usually you can find Mickey Mouse shirts or other characters for around ten dollars. Since they are mens shirts you can either tie them to the side or crop it into a crop top. There’s endless possabilities and so many creative things you can do.
One more idea you can use is to buy an old flannel, get stencils, and paint. You can paint Disney sayings on the back of your flannel or even on an old shirt or jacket. There’s so many cheaper ways to create clothing now a days. If you want more ideas you can always go to YouTube and search for more ideas.
Before you go spending more money, get creative! You’ll have unique clothing that will have everybody asking you where you got your one of a kind Disney clothes.
